Transforming anger

Transforming anger

Suppressing or expressing different forms of anger that emerge in your consciousness create mental and physical pain to self. Transform it to create positive approach , says Brahma Kumaris

Do not suppress or express the different forms of anger that emerge in your consciousness. Transform them by practicing the inner techniques given below:

Irritation:

You create this when events dont happen fast enough.

Solution:

Practice patience and accept the fact that everything and everyone has their own rhythm and speed of living.

Frustration:

You create this when events dont occur as per your expectations. Solution: Welcome all situations that have occurred in your life. Always respond proactively in the present, not reactively against the past. Only then will you create the future you anticipate.

Grudge:

You create this against someone you perceive has wronged you in the past.

Solution:

By creating negative thoughts, you hurt yourself. Cultivate positive thinking.

Resentment:

You create this towards those you think have insulted you or when you are jealous of someone.

Solution:

Visualize the person insulting as enclosed in a glass jar. See his lips move, but do not hear their words. To overcome jealousy, stop comparing and aspiring to be like someone else.

Contempt:

A feeling of contempt arises after you deeply disapprove of anothers actions.

Solution:

Separate the person from the action and remember that their actions begin with their beliefs. Suspend your judgment. Become a spectator. Then choose the most proactive response and put it into action.

Hate:

You create this when you associate someone with evil or extreme nastiness.

Solution:

By doing this you get entangled in a web of unhappiness because you become an emotional slave to the object of your hate. Keep good wishes for all.

Rage:

You create this when there is a build up of anger in response to anothers actions which you consider as obstructive or invasive, e.g. road rage.

Solution:

Learn to meditate to control rage.
